Leading global distributor Kew Media Distribution, part of Kew Media Group, has signed major deals in Latin America with DirectTV, Sundance TV and Globosat for more than 104 hours of programming, including feature film Painkillers starring Adam Huss (Starz’s Power); feature documentary Harry and Meghan: A Very Modern Romance and Season 5 of the hit drama series Line of Duty.

DirectTV’s recent acquisitions from Kew Media Distribution include the feature documentaries Active Measures (1x109’) by film director Jack Bryan, which chronicles the most successful espionage operation in Russian history - the American presidential election of 2016. Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes, a 107-minute documentary about the controversial founder of Fox News Roger Ailes; Becoming Bond, a 95-minute stranger-than-fiction true story of George Lazenby’s rise to fame in one of the first James Bond movies - On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and the 6 x one hour non-fiction series The Radical Story of Patty Hearst which follows the transformation of Patty Hearst from heiress to terrorist in a saga of privilege, celebrity, politics, media, revolution and violence.

Sundance TV, owned by AMC Networks, has acquired 24 titles covering a broad range of feature films and documentaries, including the award-winning drama feature 96 minutes (1 x 94’), an intense, edge of your seat thriller about four young people caught up in a terrifying car-jacking; The Comedian’s Guide to Survival, a 96-minute comedy feature, following one man’s journey to discover the secret of comedy, and the feature documentaries Teddy Pendergrass: If You Don’t Know Me (1x106’) telling the untold and ultimately inspiring story of the legendary singer poised to be the biggest R&B artist of all time until a tragic accident changed his life forever; and Nothing Like a Dame (1x82’), which invites you to spend time with screen icons Eileen Atkins, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright and Maggie Smith as they talk about their lives, memories and experiences in theatre, TV and cinema.

Globosat will also be airing the documentaries The Beatles: Made on Merseyside, (1x85’)  which follows the band’s journey from Merseyside teenagers to international popstars;  Cosplay Universe, an 84-minute documentary where pop culture die-hards  capture the magic of personal transformation, that allows ‘cosplayers’ to emulate their heroes, and Hip-Hop Evolution, (4 x 60’) a non-fiction mini-series by award-winning production company Banger Films, in which critically acclaimed MC and journalist, Shad Kabango, sets out to uncover the foundations of hip-hop music.
