KEW MEDIA DISTRIBUTION SEES GLOBAL DEMAND FOR MARGARET ATWOOD: A WORD AFTER A WORD AFTER A WORD IS POWER

Leading global distributor Kew Media Distribution (KMD) has sold the much-awaited documentary film about the 2019 joint Booker Prize winning author Margaret Atwood, Margaret Atwood: A Word After A Word After A Word is Power, to a raft of broadcasters worldwide, it was announced today.

Margaret Atwood: A Word After A Word After A Word is Power (1 x 92’ and 1 x 78’) follows the famous author, who has become a household name, over an exclusive 12-month period, exploring her major works and delving into her youth.

A White Pine Pictures Production in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Margaret Atwood: A Word After A Word After A Word is Power will premiere on CBC’s documentary Channel on 19th November. Margaret Atwood has never been more relevant than she is today. The film also delves into Atwood’s youth in the Canadian wilderness, her early days as a poet at Harvard, meeting her partner Graeme Gibson, their political activism, and the writing of The Handmaid’s Tale.

The film explores Atwood's major works, elucidating the personal and societal factors that inform her stories. The Testaments is the highly anticipated sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale. Atwood has said that her latest novel is inspired by “the world we’ve been living in.”

Margaret Atwood: A Word After A Word After A Word is Power is co-directed and co-produced by Nancy Lang and Peter Raymont, with Peter Pearson as executive producer and Connie Littlefield as associate producer. Featuring Margaret Atwood, Graeme Gibson, Ane Crabtree and Charlie Pachter, the documentary is a White Pine Pictures Production in association with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation with the participation of the Canada Media Fund, Rogers Documentary Fund, Ontario Creates and developed with the participation of Telefilm Canada.
